What is iTV?The TV stands for television, the i for instructional, but we’re much more. The i, defines our mission: an interactive, innovative and integrated response to your production needs. Our MissionTo promote and support instruction at Rutgers through the production of television, and other electronic media; to provide professional, broadcast quality facilities and information services to the university, the state, and beyond through electronic communications technology. Our HistoryRutgers’ only professional Television production facility occupies one of the original Camp Kilmer Army barracks on the Livingston College Campus. From 1964 –until 2003, a Television Production studio has always operated at this location under a variety of banners, from the Department of Instructional Television to Rutgers University Television Network (RU-tv). Throughout that period one goal has remained constant: a commitment to high quality, professional standards, and a dedication to serving the instructional needs of Rutgers’ faculty, staff and students. Well, we're back! The iTV Studio, still located in the TV Barracks, has re-opened its doors in 2004 to assist the university community with video, audio and multimedia production needs. iTV Studio provides end-to-end video production support from pre-production design and scripting to advanced digital editing with special effects and DVD distribution.
